All about 4th quarter

The last quarter  completes the school year. This time we explore the Photoshop again and layout a front or back page about completion. I'm not really that familiar to Photoshop even if we had learned about it in grade 8. Just familiar to some basic tool but as one of the activities this quarter, I explored the Photoshop again and expand my knowledge about it. We continue to post blogs as well. 

Other meetings on ICT was interrupted because of the practice for foundation day but I think I managed to finish all my requirements. There were also no problems in this quarter besides the fair skill in making layouts and interrupted classes.

We are near at the very end of the school year. Just a month before the moving up and next school year, we will be in senior high. Again, we will enter a new quarter.

My dream, My future

Dream is something that all of us need to have. It is our vision. Dream is what you want to do for your future. My dream is to be a successful accountant. To have my own house and buy my own car. To support my parents and make them proud. To have a happy family full of care and love. That is my dream and in order to fulfill it I must start now. Because a dream will stay as a dream without action. Without the will to make that dream real.

Having a big dream is not wrong. Even if you have doubt if you can achieve it, still dream of it and  make it as your vision. Dream can help you to prepare to face this challenging world. It makes us have something to do for. Like a purpose and fulfillment.

What am I going through now is just the start. I just find the keys. I am still trying to open the door. When I'll  finally get the chance, I will not hesitate.

Foundation day (ISNHS)

Every year, every school celebrates  Foundation Day. There is a great deal of  excitement and anticipation that awaits students in this event. Students participated in different activities. Even those who are not actively participating in the event were to join the activities, such as in field demonstration.

The goal of this 118th Foundation Day of our school is for students to chill and enjoy funfilled day at school. Long rehearsals are done to master the pieces to be presented, if not showcased in perfection. The highlight of the event was the field demonstration of each grade level, Mr. and Ms. ISNHS and the coronation ball. Before the Foundation Day every grade level have their practice for the field demonstration. Its the time wherein students unite. For me, you will not enjoy the Foundation Day if you have no friends with you. Because with them, you can share laughter and happy moments.  And this event is an opportunity meet new friends.

Everyone is enveloped with excitement and worry. The juncture is decorated with astonishing beautifications which make the venue more appealing. Normally, the program started with the grand parade among all the students around Vigan City, an opening remark from the school principal and the inspiring talk from the guest speaker. Then, the activities are commenced and winners are announced afterwards. The program closes with acknowledgment of all the participants of the event and extending gratitude to the stakeholders of the school. 

Foundation Day is an important milestone each year, where we show our gratitude for the wisdom, courage and commitment demonstrated by those who contributed to the establishment of the School. Foundation Day is an exciting day for our school and provides students, staff, parents and guests an opportunity to reflect on the growth of the school over the last 117 years and the school’s bright future ahead.

Kannawidan Festival

At the end of January Kannawidan festival celebrates the best of Ilocos Sur culture, from traditional dress and folk dance to tribal rituals and marching band contests.

The festival of Ilocos Sur that celebrates for being a separate province and its being a treasure chest of traditions and culture. Held in this city on Jan. 28 to Feb. 17, the festival opened with the residents’ expression of gratitude to the blessings of God on Jan. 28.  Government workers from national and local offices, public officials and members of non-government organizations united in the Holy Mass concelebrated at Saint Paul Cathedral in this city, and the procession afterwards. As people of faith in the Christian world, Ilocanos gather in their religious events on special feast days of patron saints.

Change: It Starts With ME

I believe in constant progression. It goes with the saying everything changes.

Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself. Don't wait for people to change because you can't change other people. The only person you can change is yourself so change yourself if you want to. If you have to. Change yourself even when people won’t go looking for you after your old self goes missing. Change yourself if that means you can finally look at yourself in the mirror again. If it means you no longer have to avoid the truth in your own eyes. Change yourself if it makes you stop hating what is laying underneath the covers of your thoughts at night. Change yourself if it can let you can sleep again. Changing yourself doesn't mean losing what you really are. You just need to choose on what change you are going to. There's a change for the better. Improving yourself. A self progression. 

If you're going to stuck yourself and not seeking for the better version of yourself, for not trying to do better things that you can do, then life hasn't taught you any good lessons.

Celebrating Vigan fiesta

Locals of Vigan celebrate their rich heritage through different festivals set at different times of the year. The festivals serve to preserve the traditions of the city. Colorful and grand, these festivals express the joyful and vibrant lifestyle that the Ilocanos exemplify every day.  

Vigan Longganisa Festival is a city-wide festivity meant to celebrate the feast of the conversion of St. Paul, the city’s patron saint. Coinciding with the feast is the city’s celebration of longganisa, one of Vigan’s major product. Several events transpire during this week-long celebration including longganisa cook fest, marching band competition, and a whole lot more. In here, several groups dance on the streets of Vigan with a plate of longganisa on their hands while exclaiming the name of their patron saint where participants are expected to amaze tourists with their choreographed movements, colorful costumes made from indigenous materials and lively parade music.

 Other festivals of Vigan includes Kannawidan Ilocos Festiva, Viva Vigan Binatbatan Festival of the Arts and other festivals promoting the beauty and culture of Vigan City.

New Year, New Me

I don't believe in New Year's resolution. I believe in constant progression. 

Myself in the last years is still me in this year. Me becoming better. Not completely changing, but improving by enhancing good traits and correcting what's bad in me. Last year, I may not be as active physically and socially, but this year, I'll try to improve my extrovert side.

For the last years I got my friends pushing me to be more active. In December, where all of us cousins reunite again, like the old times, I see sudden improvement in me. I became more active, just like when I was younger. Now that were apart again, I'm not letting myself to fall back. So this year, I will continue to improve myself.

I will aim for the better me.
